Weather Nerd is made by one person. I respect your privacy and will never sell your data or show you ads.

What I Collect

Location Data

Weather Nerd stores the locations you add so it can fetch weather forecasts. Your saved locations sync across your devices using Apple's iCloud if you're signed in. Location data is sent to Apple WeatherKit to get forecasts. I don't have access to your location history—it stays on your device and in your iCloud account.

Subscriptions

If you subscribe to Weather Nerd Pro, your purchase is processed through Apple. I use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, which receives an anonymous identifier from Apple to track your subscription status. RevenueCat doesn't receive your name, email, or Apple ID.

Anonymous Analytics

I use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous, privacy-friendly analytics. This helps me understand how the app is used and fix bugs. TelemetryDeck doesn't use cookies or collect personal information—it's designed to be GDPR-compliant without requiring consent. No device IDs, IP addresses, or personal data is stored.

What I Don't Do

  • Sell your data to anyone, ever
  • Show you ads
  • Track you across apps or websites
  • Collect your email, name, or personal information
  • Share your location with third parties (except Apple for weather data)

Third-Party Services

Weather Nerd uses these services:

  • Apple WeatherKit — provides weather forecasts
  • Apple iCloud — syncs your saved locations
  • RevenueCat — manages subscriptions
  • TelemetryDeck — anonymous analytics

Your Data

All your location data is stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account. You can delete the app at any time to remove all local data. To remove iCloud data, you can manage it through your device's iCloud settings.
